To raise awareness of Modern Slavery with key workers and groups who continue to work in the community despite Covid-19 restrictions, we are hosting the following two online sessions:
Modern Slavery during Lockdown
25 March 10:00-11:00
This online session will explore:
- The implications of lockdown restrictions on Modern Slavery
- The signs you may encounter through your work in the community
- How to respond appropriately
Who should attend:
This session is for those providing support during COVID restrictions including relief groups, housing and homelessness teams, food banks, voluntary sector organisations, faith groups and drug and alcohol services.

Modern Slavery and Housing
30 March 11:00-12:00
Housing plays an important role in facilitating modern slavery.
This online session will explore:
- The role housing plays in enabling exploitation
- How to spot the signs both in the community and working remotely
- How to respond appropriately
Who should attend:
For professionals who may encounter potential victims of modern slavery including local authority housing teams, refuse workers, licensing teams, environmental health and benefits teams.
